About this deal

For me the smell is intoxicating, making me want to inhale deeply and savor the invigoratingly clean scent. The soap and deodorant provide a smooth base for the magical cologne, and the aftershave balm finishes it with a powdery finesse, like a perfect gentleman. In the late 80's as a very young man, I made my first ever purchase of a fragrance and this was it, Armani Eau Pour Homme.

I first smelled it in 1985 when I bought a bottle of Ralph Lauren's Monogram which had just come out.My father had a bottle of this and would wear it quite regularly and it reminds me a lot of him from the early 90s. Eau Sauvage (lemon and basil), Blenheim Bouquet (lemon and spices), Chanel pour Monsieur (citrus), Bogart signature (citrus and leather), and Versace L'Homme (citrus and leathery woods) are much more compelling alternatives. This is essentially one of the scents trying to create a fresh escape route from the heavy-handed 80's just before the advent of Calone. Armani Eau Pour Homme (1984) is a late arrival–but absolute peer–to an elite group of citrus Chypres starting with Chanel's 1955 Pour Monsieur and including Monsieur Givenchy, YSL Pour Homme, Capucci Pour Homme, among others. To prolong the longevity of the fragrance, we recommend using products from the same range such as shower gels, body lotions or deodorants.

Continued from the review below, I have also had the immense pleasure of experiencing the deodorant, the soap and the aftershave balm, all vintage. Armani pour Homme was the first men's fragrance in the US in mixed citrus notes with wood notes, creating a revolution in the world of american perfumery. Remember to tell your friends that you can find cheap Eau Pour Homme Eau de Toilette and other Armani products at Bargain Perfume! Is similar in style to Eau Sauvage of Dior, Acqua di Parma Essenza and Yves Saint Laurent Pour Homme, fragrances that I love too. I'd actually vote it above Dior's Eau Sauvage which is considered by many as the king in this genre.

The initial opening was a tiny bit harsh from the vetiver and spices, but 10 minutes in, whoooooooa. It still has a marvelous array of citrus notes, with a really balmy, sunny mandarin orange essence that lingers into the drydown.
