About this deal

The Dyson comes with more tools and brushes in the box and delivers better performance on bare floors and low-pile carpet. All Dyson cordless vacuums, purifiers, humidifiers, heaters, fans, wearables and hair dryers are covered by our 2-years parts and labor warranty. Up to 40 minutes of suction: powered by a new Nickel Cobalt Aluminium battery to deliver up to 40 minutes of suction (up to 25 minutes with motorized floor tool attached). It's somewhat easy to maintain, but many parts need regular cleaning, and overall, it feels a little cheaply built. The Samsung has fewer parts that need regular cleaning, has a larger dustbin, makes less noise, and performs noticeably better on high-pile carpet.

Conversely, the Miele has a more configurable three-in-one design that allows you to use it as a handheld, stick, or upright vacuum.

Motorized floorhead: You can unlock the brushroll from the floorhead by twisting the brushroll cover with a flat object, like a coin, and then pulling it free. It also has quite a few parts that need regular maintenance, but they're pretty easy to access for the most part, and recurring costs are minimal.

This vacuum does a good job of handling pet hair on upholstered surfaces with its turbo brush attachment. While the BISSELL is more lightweight and maneuverable, the Dyson has a bigger dirt compartment, longer battery life with a shorter recharge time, performs better on all surface types, and comes with more tools and accessories. But I am so pleased I finally done it, it has change the way I hoover and believe me when I say I look forward to doing my chores.

Newer versions of the V8 come with a conical turbo brush attachment that doesn't get tangled as easily. Dirt compartment: You can open the dirt compartment by pressing the red release valve at the top of the vacuum's body. Meanwhile, the Samsung charges much faster while offering similar overall battery life, has a larger dirt compartment, and performs better on high-pile carpet. On the plus side, the vacuum doesn't lose much in the way of suction as its dirt compartment fills up.

The direct-drive head is able to push its bristles deep into your carpet, pulling up fine debris lodged deep in the pile. The Tineco has a built-in dirt sensor that allows for automatic suction power adjustment, a more effective miniature turbo brush attachment, and a larger dirt compartment. It collected the cat-litter spill in our quick test with minimal fuss and with only the occasional loose piece flying off waywardly.

Capable of capturing allergens and expelling clean air, the vacuum is an ideal solution to keeping your home tidy and allergen-free. It's on the smaller side for a cordless stick vacuum, with alternatives like the Samsung Jet 70 having larger dustbins that are mounted horizontally, in line with the vacuum's wand.

The Animal variant of the V8 also comes with a unique 180-degree brush, which is good for cleaning hard-to-reach places. With the roller-ball vacuum the dog would bark at it, back away and bark again and so on; not what you really want to hear. If you don't want to worry about keeping a battery charged, consider a comparable corded stick/handheld vacuum like the Shark Vertex UltraLight Corded.
