About this deal

George is the multipurpose Henry… and that’s why he is so often chosen as a favourite from the range of Henry vacuums. I found the wedge-on extension pole often twisted during this process, requiring regular readjustment.

This is the power level that both provides good suction input while simultaneously minimizing harm to the environment through energy usage. This vacuum cleaner operates using 1060 watts (that means he’s pretty powerful in terms of suction). Switching from standard vacuuming to the shampooing setting requires the dust bag being removed and replaced with a tank for the shampoo, the filter is then removed and the normal hose is replaced with another complete with a channel for the shampoo.

Give your car back a little of that ‘new car smell’ that you miss from when you first bought it… or even just get rid of the smell of damp. Equipped with an advanced, two-stage filtration system, George gets rid of dirt for good, trapping the mess in his super-sized, high-efficiency HepaFlo bag. The combination of our highly efficient TwinFlo’ bypass vacuum motor and our powerflo’ pump system provides you with professional cleaning standards, anytime, anywhere, ensuring exceptional results. The vacuuming prowess of Numatic’s range of cylinder vacuum cleaners has arguably fallen behind the likes of cordless sticks from Dyson and Shark. If you are allergic you may want to re-think your choice in pet, rather than your choice in vacuum cleaner.

It’s heavy and a little ungainly compared to a modern cordless vacuum cleaner, but it’s so much more powerful and will probably outlast any cordless example. While this isn’t recommended for a car’s interior, around the home it made Saturday morning dusting far quicker. With his huge 15L dry / 9L wet / 6L extraction capacity and super long-reach 10m cable, George makes cleaning easier. I have to admit that I wasn’t particularly expecting this to be as good as it is, but it did a grand job of washing everything I put in its way. That process of converting George between wet and dry modes isn’t particularly difficult but it’s an undeniable faff.It has extra weight when it has water in, it has extra weight because the bag is soaked – there are all sorts of reasons it weighs that little bit more, and all of them are good. These are from various different manufacturers which we have found to be the best quality, for these particular parts, over the years. As well as super suction and phenomenal power, George comes with a Dual Scrub Floor Tool and Wash Kit — designed for cleaning and drying hard floors as well as wet and extraction carpet cleaning.

While Henry usually grabs the limelight when it comes to Numatic’s range of cylinder vacuum cleaners, it’s a little unfair on his green younger brother, George. George is comfortably the most powerful vacuum cleaner from Numatic’s Henry Hoover range, and with great power comes great suction. This versatile vacuum is suitable for a variety of tasks such as dry and wet cleaning, the scrubbing and drying of heard floors and also deep carpet and upholstery cleaning. We are perfectly willing to overlook this, however, owing to the fact that it saves you the cost of a full valet service. When I’ve cleaned this with upright style carpet cleaners in the past, it sheds a lot of pile and has a tendency to clog them up.People that live an outdoor, active lifestyle are likely to use the George vacuum cleaner five days a week to clean dirt out of their cars. They rely solely on powerful suction, without the carpet agitating roller you usually find on most modern models. He can spruce up upholstery, easily remove trodden dirt and keep high traffic areas in tip-top condition. The power delivered by the 1060W motor ensures that there’s always plenty of suction on offer, perfect for collecting debris from small nooks and tackling particular dusty carpets where lesser (often battery-powered) vacuums begin to suffer.

The relatively mobile cleaning head of a cylinder model is far easier to use on curtains, furniture and stairs. Unless you have a very strong detergent and boiling water you won’t get all of the bacteria, or particles, that set off your allergies in the first place. Simply spray the solution onto the hard floor, use the scrubbing brush to agitate the dirt, then flip the tool over with your foot and vacuum the slurry away. The dusting tool is a real standout attachment, complete with long, soft bristles for collecting dust while posing no scratch risk, even on delicate surfaces like polished wood and glass. Charles : Wet and dry pick up only vacuum with no carpet cleaning tools or ability to pump detergent.A particular benefit to the cylinder design is that the George can act as both a spot cleaner and a larger carpet cleaner. Simply set the brushes up for carpets and down for hard-floors, and you’ll achieve powerful results in either mode. It’s an incredibly logical move to combine a wet and dry vacuum cleaner with a carpet cleaner and the George gets it mostly right. On hard floor mode, the extendable brush does have some gaps at the front, which let some Cheerios through, but it still pushed most of our test spill ahead of it.
