About this deal

It was one of several British films released in 1964 after spending well over a year on the shelf - others included "The Leather Boys", "Ladies Who Do" and "The Comedy Man". As David is driven away, he looks back to see two agents (Monty Warren and Cyril Cross) speaking with Melnicker. Maggie then says she has to leave and Garrett leaves alone after copying down Maggie's phone number.

G. Wodehouse's genial upper-class bumbler Bertie Wooster - heads a strong cast in this comedy Cold War thriller.

David enters the building for his interview where Major McPherson questions him about his association with Dr. There are shades of Alfred Hitchcock’s man on the run tales here (especially The 39 Steps, which the basic structure loosely resembles), sharing a similar sense of wry humour that runs throughout the story, an ever-so-slightly winking sensibility enhanced by the amount of comedy actors making up the supporting cast.

G. Wodehouse’s genial upper-class bumbler Bertie Wooster – heads a strong cast in this comedy Cold War thriller. Kieron Moore, who had a real talent for darkly smooth and menacing characters, appears but is underused.Ian Carmichael gives a good performance in his role as David Garrett, the scientist who is totally unaware what is going to happen to him when he arrives at the area, while Janet Munro is decent as Maggie, the woman whose actions make her an unlikeable character. The ill-fated Janet Munro is quite charming as the female bait used to trap Ian Carmichael's scientist. The random occurrences circumvent this intention and before we know it he has met Janet Munro and is in Yorkshire. British film critic Leslie Halliwell said: "Too many mysterious happenings with too little explanation sink this comedy-thriller from the start.

I haven’t seen my acquaintance for quite a few years, but Hide and Seek is the eighth Cy Endfield film I have watched over the last two or three years. Garrett and Richter fight, and Richter loses and goes over the side of the cliff to his apparent death.

Cy Endfield directed this small comedy-thriller quite some time before his epic film, "Zulu", but it was not released until some six months after that large-scale production. Garrett starts to walk down the road and comes across a policeman on a bicycle who goes back to the cliff with him. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.
